Say Goodbye to PTFE – Why Nporalcare’s PTFE Free Dental Floss Is the Smarter Choice for Your Oral Health
When it comes to daily oral care, Dental Floss is one of the most essential tools for removing plaque and food debris from those hard-to-reach spaces between your teeth. But have you ever stopped to check what your floss is actually made of?
Many conventional dental floss products on the market contain PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) – a synthetic coating that makes floss glide smoothly between tight contacts. While PTFE offers convenience, growing concerns about its potential health risks and environmental impact have led more and more consumers to seek safer, cleaner alternatives.
That’s where Nporalcare PTFE Free Dental Floss comes in – a premium oral care solution designed for those who value both effective cleaning and peace of mind.
What Makes Nporalcare PTFE Free Dental Floss Stand Out?
How to Use Nporalcare PTFE Free Dental Floss (Step-by-Step)
Cut approximately 45–50 cm (18–20 inches) of floss. For tighter contacts, a slightly longer piece gives you better control. Use the built-in cutter on the dispenser for a clean cut without fraying the ends.
Wrap each end securely around your middle fingers, leaving a 2–3 cm (about 1 inch) taut working section between your hands. Hold this section firmly with your thumbs and index fingers.
Gently ease the floss between your teeth using a back-and-forth sawing motion. Do not snap or forcibly push the floss into the gum tissue, as this can cause bruising or bleeding.
Once the floss reaches the gumline, curve it into a “C” shape tightly against one tooth surface. Slide the floss up and down 3–4 times, extending it about 2–3 mm below the gumline.
Without removing the floss from the gap, release the “C” curve and re-curve it against the adjacent tooth surface. Slide it up and down 3–4 times to ensure both tooth surfaces are cleaned.
Wind the used floss around your middle fingers to expose a fresh, clean section (about 2–3 cm) for the next gap. Repeat for every interdental space, including the back molars.
When finished, discard the used floss immediately. Do not reuse. Rinse your mouth with water or mouthwash after flossing to wash away dislodged debris.
Why Switching to PTFE-Free Floss Matters
Choosing PTFE-free dental floss isn’t just about personal preference – it’s about making a conscious choice for your health and the planet. PTFE has been linked to the release of microplastics and chemical residues during production and degradation, raising concerns about long-term exposure. By opting for Nporalcare’s PTFE-free alternative, you’re reducing your contribution to microplastic pollution while still enjoying a floss that performs beautifully.
